A fourth-year quarterback from Pierrefonds, Que., Clay Sequeira led the Varsity Blues football team to a 38-34 come-from-behind upset victory over the No. 10 Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday night in Waterloo.
 
The commerce major went 18-for-32 for 322 yards and four touchdowns on the night. Down 17-0 after the first quarter, Sequeira threw for touchdowns of 36 and 42 yards in the first six minutes of the second quarter to give the Blues the lead.
 
He followed that up with a 38-yard major in the third quarter and a game-long 57-yard passing TD with just 40 seconds remaining on the clock to secure Toronto’s first win over Laurier since 2013.
 
Sequeira leads all U SPORTS quarterbacks with 1,257 passing yards, 11.4 yards per pass, 419 yards per game and 14 passing touchdowns through Week 3 of OUA football action.
