Fourth-year outside hitter Chris Towe notched a game-high 18 points in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team to their first playoff victory since 2003-04 this past weekend.

The mechanical engineering major from Toronto registered 15 kills, two aces and one block as Toronto came from behind to upset the Western Mustangs, 3-2, in OUA quarter-final action on Saturday night. He also recorded a game-high 10 digs as well.

The fourth-year Alberta Golden Bears transfer helped solidify Toronto’s first OUA Final Four berth in 15 years. The Blues will take on the host Queen’s Gaels in semi-final action next weekend in Kingston.
