A fourth-year attack from Whitby, Ont., Jason Barnable scored four goals and added five assists in leading the Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team to a 14-8 season-opening victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday night.

The political science major and 2015 CUFLA rookie of the year tallied two goals and an assist in the first quarter, while adding two goals, including the eventual game-winner, and two assists in the third frame. He rounded out his offensive output with two helpers in the fourth.
