A second-year midfielder from Toronto, Anthony Sousa scored his first two career goals in leading the Varsity Blues men's soccer team to an undefeated season-opening weekend at Varsity Stadium.

Sousa wasted no time on Saturday afternoon, scoring his first career goal in the first 30 seconds of the match. He put forth an impressive individual effort to beat Excalibur goalkeeper Zachary Silva and find the back of the net. The Blues topped Trent 5-1 on the day.

The commerce major then scored Toronto's first goal, which would stand as the game-winner, as the Blues shut out the UOIT Ridgebacks, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon.
