Second-year goalkeeper John Smits allowed only one goal against as the No. 7 Varsity Blues continued their winnings ways this week with two solid wins over the Ryerson Rams and Carleton Ravens

Smits recorded his sixth shut out of the season in a 1-0 victory over the Ryerson Rams on Wednesday, October 7. The fourth-year biology major went on to make seven saves, including a diving game-saving stop in the dying minutes of a 2-1 victory over the Carleton Ravens on Friday, October 9.

Smits is currently ranked first in the OUA with six shutouts. The Blues sit atop the OUA standings with an 8-1-2 record and are undefeated in their last eight games.
