First-year mountain biker Samantha Cassista earned a silver medal at her first Varsity competition, University Cup race #1 at the Mansfield Outdoor Centre. The graduate student posted outstanding performances in the two-day, three-event competition. She finished first in the time trial event, second in the cross country race and sixth in the sprint event – combined, these results earned her an overall second-place finish.
