First-year baseball player Anthony Spignesi stole 10 bases and batted .533 in four games on the road this past weekend (Sept. 26-27).

The Toronto native went 4-for-5, hitting four singles as the Blues defeated the Queen’s Gaels 6-3 in Game 1 on Saturday. He followed that up, going 1-for-3 with a walk as the Blues dropped a 6-2 decision to the Gaels.

On Sunday, Spignesi was 1-for-5 with a single in a Game 1 loss to the McMaster Marauders. He bounced back, going 2-for-2 with one double and one single with two walks in a 12-6 Game 2 victory.
