Fourth-year forward Ahmed Nazmi racked up 31 points and 15 rebounds this week in a valiant effort to extend the Varsity Blues men’s basketball season past the OUA East semi-final round.

The Cairo, Egypt native recorded a double-double, 14 points and 11 boards, and was named the Varsity Blues player of the game as Toronto defeated the Queen’s Gaels 63-48 in OUA East quarter-final action (Feb. 25) at U of T.

Nazmi again led the Blues in Saturday night’s OUA East semifinal against the No. 3 Gee-Gees in Ottawa. The arts and science major went 6-of-8 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the line for a team-high 17 points.
