Fourth-year veteran Alex Witmer finished second in the men’s high jump at the 2012 CIS track & field championships hosted by the Manitoba Bisons.

The Kitchener, Ont., native cleared 2.04m to earn the second-place finish. Witmer entered the competition at 2.01m and cleared that height on his third attempt.  He then hit 2.04m on his first try before ending the competition with three attempts at 2.07m.
