Nicole Brown scored seven goals in two games, including five goals in the gold-medal game to lead the University of Toronto Varsity Blues to a 13-9 win over the two-time defending champion Carleton Ravens at the 2008 OUA women’s water polo championship.

Brown, the Blues player of the game in the final, was named an OUA first team all-star for the second consecutive year. She also scored two goals in Toronto’s 10-4 semi final win over the York Lions.

After a winless season in 2006, Brown helped lift the Blues women’s water polo program to a 2007 bronze medal and now to the top of the podium in 2008. The Burlington, Ont. native led the OUA in scoring for the past two seasons and has been a contributing factor to her squad’s turnaround.
