BLUES SWIMMING CROWNED OUA CHAMPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's swimming teams each repeated as champions as the 2015 OUA championships wrapped up Saturday evening in Ottawa.

Champs Again

Toronto's men won their 12th consecutive and OUA-leading 63rd provincial title in the Dougall Trophy was first presented in 1910. The Blues finished with a combined team score of 986.5 points, well ahead of the second-place Western Mustangs (613.50) and bronze medalist McMaster Marauders (586). She was a member of U of T's record-breaking 400 medley relay team and also helped the Blues to a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay.

On the men's side, second-year standout Hochan Ryu garnered OUA swimmer of the year honours as well as the Dr. Jeno Tihanyi award. Ryu capped off the three-day meet winning the 400 IM title, to add to his 200 IM and 200 butterfly titles.
