Varsity Blues Miscellaneous Information

A. Travel Policy 

The Faculty of Physical Education and Health pays for all league travel and accommodations. Student-athletes often have the opportunity to travel to other universities across Canada for regular season and championship competition. In this capacity, student-athletes are representatives of the University of Toronto and are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. The consumption of alcohol on chartered or rented vehicles is strictly prohibited. This is a Faculty policy and neither coach or bus company personnel may alter this policy.


B. Equipment and Uniforms 

Where indicated, all equipment and uniforms remain the property of the Faculty and the Intercollegiate Program. Please treat these items with care, as they are one of the most expensive items within the intercollegiate budget. Once the season has ended, ensure that all equipment and uniforms, as indicated, are returned to your coach immediately.

C. Lockers 

There is a designated section of lockers available at the Athletic Centre for Varsity athletes. The purchase of a locker will provide the student-athlete with towel service. Locker sales will begin on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 8 a.m. Lockers will be sold on a first come first served basis.

To rent a locker at the Athletic Centre as a Varsity athlete your name must appear on your team’s roster. This roster will be submitted by your coach to the program office and in turn forwarded to the main office. The cost for a locker is $56.86, which includes towel service and covers the school year.

Towel Service
If you do not wish to purchase a locker, the cost of towel service for the school year is $45.20
