Warren Snyder made his mark in Varsity Football history through seven seasons of outstanding play. He was a member of the 1920 Intercollegiate and Grey Cup champions and the Intercollegiate champions in 1921 and 1926. In his history of Varsity athletics, published in 1944, T. A. Reed said of Snyder, "He is Canada's greatest halfback."
During his university career, Snyder was a member of the Junior Varsity Basketball team in 1920-21, and played two years of Intramural Basketball and Indoor Baseball.
He was also an accomplished rower, and was a member of Canada's Silver Medallists in Heavyweight Eights at the 1924 Olympics.
