A two-time member of the Women’s Athletic Association Directorate (WAAD), Rosemary Annesley was a member of three consecutive intercollegiate championship badminton teams and was the individual champion in women’s singles for one year during her time at U of T.

Also a decorated intramural athlete, Rosemary played four years of interfaculty badminton, where she earned singles champion honours and two team championship banners. She played intramural ice hockey for four years, winning two team championships. She also played intramural basketball for four years and swam for one year.

Rosemary was president of St. Hilda’s College athletics association in 1939-40 and served on the Students’ Administrative Council executive council in1940-41. She also served as a sergeant in the women’s service training detachment as part of the Canadian Red Cross Corps in 1940-41.

Rosemary passed away peacefully on November 3, 2008.
