Gil Nunns played four years of Varsity tennis, including the championship team in 1927. He was intramural singles and doubles champion in 1926, and a member of championship teams in 1927 and 1928. Gil also won numerous championships in provincial and national competition and was selected to seven Davis Cup teams between 1927 and 1934. He was Ontario, Quebec and Canadian junior champion in 1924 and 1925, and won a total of five Ontario Senior titles in singles and doubles between 1929-1931. Gil was ranked #1 in Canada in 1930.
