Cal Bricker was an outstanding track and field champion in the first years of the 20th century. He won intercollegiate gold medals in 1905 and 1906, and in 1906 set an intercollegiate broad jump record that survived until 1936. In 1908, he set the Canadian long jump record (24',1.5") that lasted 27 years. Cal was a member of Canada's teams at two Olympic Games: 1908--won the bronze medal in long jump and placed fourth in triple jump, and 1912--won the silver medal in long jump.
He is also a member of the Canadian and Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame
