The 1990-91 OUAA champion Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team achieved the programs best-ever finish at the national championship, claiming the silver medal. Going into the tournament with a number 10 national ranking, the Blues defeated the number eight and number five teams. The squad performed a perfect 10-0 to place first in the OUAA East division and compiled a 32-4 record in competition against Canadian universities.
Orest Stanko was named the OUAA East division coach of the year. Edgar Lueg was named a CIAU all-Canadian. Lueg, John Canjar and Howie Grossinger were named provincial all-stars, with Marc Habash earned OUAA rookie of the year honours.
