Varsity Centre
The Varsity Centre – which includes a 5,000-seat stadium, 400m eight-lane track, state-of-the-art artificial turf field and a dome for winter use – is a sport and recreation facility like no other.
It represents a new vision at U of T focused on creating a rich experience for all students that extends far beyond the classroom. From competitive athletes to students aiming to learn a new sport or simply go for a jog on a fabulous outdoor track, Varsity Centre creates an environment that welcomes and encourages all levels of physical activity.
This is the competition venue for the Varsity Blues field hockey, football, soccer and track & field teams. The Varsity Centre also includes the arena. The arena is the competition venue for the Varsity Blues hockey and figure skating teams.
The new facilities will push the Varsity Blues sports program to the next level, enhancing high performance training and competition in sports like track and field, football and soccer. The Centre will also strengthen community outreach by offering a range of programs open to the community as well as a place for local fans to enjoy tremendous university-level competitive sport.
When all phases are complete, Varsity Centre will encompass an integrated high performance research and teaching facility, where research informs teaching, coaching, co-curricular sports, general physical activity and community outreach.
Varsity Centre gives a big boost to sport, recreation and academic programs at U of T, creating untold opportunities for students and community members to compete, train, learn and play. It’s a whole new ball game!
Athletic Centre
The Athletic Centre is an expansive multi-story, multi-use health and fitness facility that is conveniently located at 55 Harbord Street on U of T's downtown campus.
This is the competition venue for the Varsity Blues badminton, basketball, fencing, squash, swimming, track & field, volleyball, water polo and wrestling teams.
All U of T students are automatically members of the Athletic Centre and Varsity Centre. Memberships are also available to U of T staff and faculty at a discounted rate and to the general public.
David L. MacIntosh Sports Medicine Clinic
Located on the ground floor of the Athletic Center, the Macintosh Clinic is a comprehensive sport medicine care facility. Its full-time staff includes certified athletic therapists, sport physiotherapists, sport massage therapists, and sport physicians. Each professional is committed to offering an exceptional quality of care that helps you get back on your feet faster.
Back Campus
Back Campus is located behind University College and backs onto Hoskins Ave. It is the competition venue for the Varsity Blues lacrosse and rugby teams.
University of Toronto Scarborough Campus
Scarbrough Campus is the competition venue for the Varsity Blues baseball and rugby teams.
University of Toronto Mississauga Campus
Mississauga Campus has been used as the competition venue for the Varsity Blues basketball, volleyball and lacrosse teams.
Birchwood Park
Birchwood Park is the competition venue for women's fastpitch.
