Toronto's women sit second with 50 points, three points behind the Guelph Gryphons. The Western Mustangs are third with 47 points.
The Blues men are in third place with 40 points, behind Guelph (61.5) and Windsor (55).
Third-year standout Gabriela Stafford earned Toronto's first medal of the meet and her first CIS individual gold medal. Stafford bettered Olympian Paula Schnurr's 1988 record (2:42.81) in the 1000m in a time of 2:41.67.
Fourth-year veteran Sacha Smart followed that up with a dominant performance in the men's race, crossing the finish line in 2:23.92 to earn his first career CIS individual title.
The Turner brothers capped off the first-ever men's heptathlon at the CIS championship with a 1-2 finish. James Turner topped the field with 3968 points, while Rostam Turner was second with 3673 points
James Turner finished first in the 60m (7.01), long jump (7.13m), shot put (14.06m), high jump (1.84m), 60m hurdles (8.54), while placing third in the pole vault (4.40m) and 10th in the 1000m (2:58.94).
Rostam Turner was second in the long jump (6.71m), shot put (13.75m), 60m hurdles (8.66) and pole vault (4.50m), fourth in the 60m (7.22), eighth in the 1000m (2:56.32) and ninth in the high jump (1.75m).

Toronto's 4x800 relay team of Gillian Ceyhan, Madeleine Kelly, Honor Walmsley and Rachel Jewett claimed the CIS title in a time of 8:49.74. Appearing in her first national championships since 2012,

Appearing in her first national championships since 2012, Tamara Jewett earned the silver medal in the 3000m in an impressive time of 9:37.46. Third-year sprinter Rayshaun Franklin also earned a second-place finish, crossing the 300m finish line in 33.66 seconds.

U of T's men's 4x800 relay team of Craig Klomp, Ben DeVito, Simon Egzaw and Sacha Smart placed fifth to cap off the night.
Julia Stille finished sixth in the women's long jump (5.63m), while rookie Katrina Innanen was eighth in the 300m (40.50)
