Day 1 ResultsUniversity of Toronto Varsity Blues track and field standouts Greg MacNeill and Hayley Warren won the 60m hurdles events as Day 1 of the 34th annual Can-Am Classic wrapped up Friday night in Windsor, Ont.

MacNeill clocked a meet record time of 7.91 seconds and met the CIS standard en route to a first-place finish in the men's 60m hurdles event.

Similarly, Warren crossed the finish line in 8.44 seconds, meeting the CIS time and missing the meet record by only .05 seconds.

Warren went onto team up with Maggie Hanlon, Madeline Warren and Lindsay Brandys to earn a first-place finish in the 4x200 relay (1:42.84).

Toronto finished 1-2 in the women's 4x800 relay with both teams breaking the previous meet record and making the CIS standard. Honor Walmsley, Fiona Callender, Kelly Hennessy and Sasha Gollish crossed the finish line in 8:50.52, while Rachel Jewett, Madeleine Kelly, Gillian Cayhan and Gabriela Stafford were not far behind in 8:51.27.

Julia Stille met the CIS standard with a third-place finish in the women's triple jump (12.03m).
