Fourth-year defensive back Dorian Munroe is the OUA defensive player of the week for the period ending October 16, 2011.
Munroe recorded six tackles, one forced fumble and one sack versus the No. 1 Western Mustangs on Saturday afternoon.
The Miami, Fla., native was a key contributor to Toronto’s defensive unit that held the No. 1 offence in the province to only two touchdowns on the day.
Five of Munroe’s tackled came on Western’s top running back of the day, Nathan Riva, as did the forced fumble. Munroe, who joined the Blues this season from the Florida Gators, also sacked Western quarterback Ben Rossong for a loss of 10 yards.
