The University of Toronto Varsity Blues rowing team defeated the Trent Excalibur at the second annual Trent/U of T dual challenge on Saturday, April 24 at the Ottonabee River in Peterborough, Ont.

U of T was victorious in three of the four events on the day. The Blues won the women’s Varsity eight by four boat-lengths with Trent’s lone victory coming in the men’s Varsity eight.

Varsity Blues standout Michael Braithwaite won a very tight race in the men’s Varsity single, while Elise Mackie and women’s captain Lauren Brown paried up to take the women’s Varsity double.
