The Varsity Blues women’s squash team finished the regular season in fourth-place and went on to earn their 11th consecutive medal at the 2010 OUA championships.
After going 2-2 in the regular season, Toronto fell to the eventual OUA champion Queen’s Gaels in semi-final action and went on to defeat the McMaster Marauders in a thrilling five-set bronze-medal match.
Toronto and McMaster tied 3-3 in its fixture and 12-12 in individual matches, however, the Blues won the tiebreaker by nine points on total score aggregate (214-205) to earn the third-place finish.
Cami Marmoush and Megan Northey were both named OUA second team all-stars.
At the Black Knight Canadian university and colleges squash championships, the Varsity Blues took three of the top four places in the women’s A division as Daniah Shamim, Shuhsien Zhu and Soojin Yi placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
