Shujon Mazumder won a bronze medal as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues wrestling team competed at the 2010 Queen’s Invitational on Sunday, January 17 in Kingston, Ont. 

Mazumder wrestled well but fell to a rookie Steve Takahashi, son of two-time Olympian Ray Takahashi, in the quarter-finals of the men’s 52kg competition. 

Dene Ringuette (Pickering, Ont.) competed in the men’s 76kg category, where he defeated Mike Katsillas of the Guelph Gryphons but went on to fall to York University’s Ncube Cleo.

The Blues return to the mats on Saturday, January 23 when they travel to the University of Guelph for the Guelph Gryphons Open.
