With four first-year athletes, the Varsity Blues women’s curling team recorded numerous close games against top OUA competition.
The Blues were led by lone veteran Morgan Bowser, who helped her team improve in leaps and bounds over the course of the year. The young squad recorded their best results in their last three matches of the season.
Toronto fell to the first-place Western Mustangs by a mere four points, before recording a narrow 6-4 loss to the Windsor Lancers at the OUA crossover hosted by the Brock Badgers.
The Blues closest match came in their final meeting with the host Badgers, where Toronto dropped a 7-6 decision and unfortunately came away winless this year.
