The University of Toronto Varsity Blues host the third annual badminton marathon from noon to midnight on Sunday, December 20 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.

The Blues raised an impressive $11, 400 at the event last year. All money goes directly to the Varsity Blues program and provides athletes the ability to compete throughout the winter season.

Players from 21 badminton centres across Ontario have already registered for Sunday’s event. Members of the Varsity Blues will play in all three events, while other participants may choose to play in any or all of the three segments.

This year’s featured guest is Varsity Blues alumni Calvin Cheng (pictured). Cheng graduated in 2007 after leading the Blues to three consecutive OUA bronze medals and returns from Hong Kong to participate in the three-part marathon.
