The Varsity Blues women’s golf team picked up a third-place finish at the 2009 Waterloo Invitational this weekend (Oct. 3-4) at Cambridge Golf Club.

U of T finished with an overall team score of 369, just three strokes behind the second-place host Waterloo Warriors. The Queen’s Gaels earned the gold medal, finishing with a final score of 353.

Toronto’s freshman phenoms finished as the top two Blues. Laura Upenieks (Toronto) finished tied for second place with Kate Burnett of Queen’s with a total score of 114, while first-year life science student Na Eun Park (Winnipeg, Man.) placed 11th shooting at two-day total of 126. Christina Ho (Toronto) finished tied for 12th with a final score of 129.
