Marc had an impressive career with the Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team. The five-time OUA all-star and three-time all-Canadian received U of T’s George M. Biggs award in 1988 and represented Canada at the 1987 World Student Games.
After a three-year break from intercollegiate competition to play for Canada’s national volleyball team, Marc returned to the Blues to complete his final year of eligibility in the 1991-92 season. He was selected to the OUA all-star team for the fifth time and was a first team all-star at all five tournaments in which the Blues participated. Marc was named a first team all-Canadian, and became the first OUA player to be selected as the CIAU player of the year.
Marc returned to U of T as an assistant coach from 1992-2001, and helped lead the Blues to six OUA championships. He also represented Canada in beach volleyball at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
